I see tons of GSP and EP's but not may Setters. Who has any and post some pics for me. I'm a ES fan and hope to soon have another one. I didn't have time for my last one because of new babies and had to let him go. Any advice on where to shop for a pup will be appreciated.

I have one, and have had many over the past 35+ years. If you get one that knows what they're doing, they have the prettiest gait of any pointing dog known to man. Very classy looking out in the field. In my opinion, the Crockett line is the best.

I once drove to Iowa in January to pick up a Crockett Setter.

The only dog that I ever knew how to cut off Blues, was a Crockett Setter. He was a direct son of Johnny Crockett.

I have a 10 year old son of Havelock Blacksmith that has been nothing short of awesome. Time is starting to slow him down but still the first one out of the box each morning!

I've heard of Havelock. Pretty well known Setter. What I always loved about Setters, when I was growing up we had them. They would run loose all year long as normal house dogs. But once hunting season came, they were all go. Would point, honor and retrieve with the best of them. Never spent a dime on training, my granddad did it all himself. They would hunt a 1/4 mile of hedgerow and if they went down, no matter how far away, they'd still be locked when you got there. Sure wish I could have kept their line going.

Thanks for the nomination DoubleB20. I raise English Setters just across the river in Oklahoma. I have some dogs that I am pretty proud of. I do not know how to post pics on here, but like DoubleB20 said, my website is oksetters.com . I have a male pup available right now that is out of a daughter of Havelock Blacksmith and CH The Valedictorian who is a Smith Setter. My cell is (580)513-1055 if you have any interest.

Tyson

Gorgeous male on your site Tyson. I wish I was in the market right now, but I'm closing on a new house. I hope in the next year or so to get a pup and will keep your information.
