Ive had one in my bag for a while, and used it last weekend and thats when i saw the only deer of the weekend. The spike came charging down a hill to my right and into the feeder a few minutes after using it, he was looking around for about a minute when he got there and then ate some corn. Wasnt sure whether this was a fluke or not...

I've had one too. I got to thinking, all the years I'v been huntin, I've NEVER heard a doe make this sound. I finally crushed it like a Dr Pepper can. Then, last year while I was on my hunt in Ks, thru the cedar thicket, I hear the "can". At first thought, I thought somebody else had slipped in on me and was huntin. Then all hell broke loose after the second time I heard it. Nuthin but brush breakin and a lot of grunting. Of course, they went the other way and with the thick cedars, I never saw them. Think I might give it another try in Ks this year. We'll see!!

I had never heard it before last year, and there was a doe bleating and a buck grunting. Of course it was before day light, but they did it for about 30 minutes. Never did see them. mad

I use one. I have watched deer when I use it. 90% of the time, the does ignore it. 50% of the time the bucks will become interested and look your way. I honestly don't think I have had one commit to the call. I have had them work their way around and try to get down wind, but they have never come in bow range. Not YET! It hasn't scared any of them that I was watching.

I use one sometimes never had a buck come running to it, but when used it have seen deer, think it at the least it gets them to come in and check it out. I have scared more deer off with a grunt call than the can.

About 5 years ago on opening day I was in my blind and realized that my feeder did not go off when it was supposed to. At the time my buddies were commenting on the radios about all the action that they had had show up to their feeders. I hadn't had anything come to my feeder. So I tried out my brand new doe bleat for the first time. After about 20 minutes or so a nice 8 point came charging into the sendero and I was able to take him down. I really got the impression that I called him in but since then I haven't had anywhere near the same success. I've had bucks that were far away show some curiouslity but never come in closer and I've also spooked one.

Funny this should show up, I just pulled my can out yesterday. I've had it for a few years but never used it. I've heard the noise in the wild before, but only from yearlings. Might play around with it if a hunt gets slow. I have had success with a grunt call. Rattling though only seems to bring in the young curious bucks

Same here always carried one well last few years just tried it the other day. Nothing.

I'll probably keep doing it but it's hard for me to make any noise just not something I'm used to doing. Old school I guess.
