Any opinions on whether this guy will get any bigger? Looks old and gray to me, but don't know for sure. If I see him, I'll drop him, but he hadn't been on camera for a while.

Wish ya had a better angle on that pic. The body says yes, but the rack says maybe. Not much height or mass, but that could be cuz he is old. I'm thinkin' he's at least 4.5 if not more, but again another angle would help.

Looks to be an older deer. Picture shows him to be in good shape. Makes you wonder what he had to eat this summer when he was growing his horns. Could be he may not have the genes to grow bigger horns. He's a good healty legal buck if your hunting an AR county. up

No AR... low fence Childress county. Surrounded by cotton and wheat. Here's a different buck from a couple of days ago. He's definitely not as old, but might be a hoss if he makes it another year or two.

Old enough. Short nose, big neck, rack could be way better for that area. Shoot and show us a picture of his jaw.

I say 4.5 yrs old and that is because of the shape of his neck where it meets the body. The best I can tell he still doesn't have a belly or back sag and couple that with another drought for most of the antler growing season means he may have needed a little more nutition to have gotten to his full potential this year.

Let him walk and wait until next year. He's got nice symetry and I think a year would really add to his mass and tine length.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Definately an older deer. I would guess 4.5 maybe 5.5. It's a coin flip for me on shooting him unless there aren't any other prospects out there. If that's the case...take him out!

Based on the rack and the thickness of the neck frame, I'd say just a tad over 5 years old. Best you harvest that one soon, it'll be some good eatin'.

I'd say the first one is older, and not going to get any better. The second one might be a year or so younger, and has more potential in the rack.
