I had an '84 for my first vehicle. It was a cream-puff with a brand new crate 350 to replace the 305(only had 34,000 orginal miles on that engine and the truck)...I think my dad paid 1750 for it. I put a couple of dings it, but completely custom fabricated the interior, ended up selling it for 5800. I think if you paid over 2000 for it you'd be losing. Aim for about 1800.
Find out the history on it; nit pick it underneath for abuse off-road, check the transfer case out, lift up the edge of the carpet and check the rocker panels, etc. If you pay more for 2k it better be in excellent shape with a sweet running engine. just my 2 cents.

If the engine, transmission and transfer case all work good then as mentioned above, $2k is about right.

2k is a good price.. if i was sellin' it and if all is nice on the inside and the motor runs smooth, then i'd be personally askin' around $2500.. it does look nice for the age..

Isn't it a K5 blazer? I thought the K10's were the green 3/4 ton HD military version w/the diesel.
