Where do ya'll hunt? I've got a place in Cottle County about 10 miles north of Paducah. We bow hunt. So, we've already been out a few times and we're going again next week.

I'm with BigBow - it will be all bow for me for at least the next several weeks. I picked up the bow about mid-OCT last year and haven't put it down since.

I hunt in west Texas. My place is in Scurry county a few miles west Snyder Texas. I have not gotten in to bow hunting yet. There are only mesquite trees where I hunt. Nothing even close to big enough for a tree stand. I guess I could get a tripod or make a new blind. I am on a budget and will be holding a rifle for some time to come. Most of my excess cash goes towards fishing.

I know that area well. We use to fish Alan Henry a bunch when I was at Tech.

We don't really have any trees on our place either. Mostly just scrub oak. So, I hunt out of a 10' tripod that is tucked back in the shinnery.

I expect that Thursday afternoon will resemble the last day of school for kids. Everyone will be leaving work at warp speed, to load up and then hit the road. For those of us who have to deal with evacuating for hurricanes, it would be nice if they opened the extra lanes, and made them all outbound only.

Good stuff guys. We've got scentless soap and people peeling out of the parking lot at work. Time is dragging by this week.

I've been sitting in my blind at lease once a week for the past month and can't wait to take my rifle with me. I have off Friday evening until Thursday so I have plenty of time to get something.

that's just sad

what can i say....

We are leaving Friday morning at 10am. I leave all my deer hunting stuff in a big duffle bag. All I have to do is throw in some clean underwear, toothbrush and my rifle. I can't wait until Thursday at 6pm, 3 day weekend.

My buddy Mike and I have to work at our bar Wednesday night. We'll get off around 3 am and leave straight from there. Only problem is we're starting in San Diego.... (SD, California, not SD, Texas). We'll pick up my brothers and Dad Thursday morning in AZ, and then arrive at the ranch Thrusday night...1150 miles, 3 states, 2 time changes, 17 hours of driving, and 49 cups of coffee later! YEE HAW!!

I'm not excited! Already waking up at 3:30-4:00AM and can't go back to sleep,I have a new Rhino to get around the lease on, we have two new blind locations and the game cams are showing deer at both location and more deer than we have gotten pictures of in the first 4 years we have had the lease, today is my birthday and the wife gave me an new camo hat. Life is good!
I will be leaving out Thursday evening and spend some time at both new blind locations Friday and my pard will show up Friday evening.

Im about 10 miles south of Roaring Springs. We have about 1000 acres split up into 3 properties for 7 hunters.

What have you guys been seeing so far this season?

Now thats dedication I hope you guys knock enough down to keep the braggin going all the way home.
