Do any of yall duck hunt in the evening? ive only been out once so far in the morning, and am considering trying an evening hunt because i could make it out there more after my classes. Any body have luck in the evening?

I tried it for the first time a few times during early teal (on the coast). Didnt have much luck, didnt see many birds...but that was early teal...

ive never done it
but ive also heard it may mess up the roost
i dont know if thats true or not though

yea ive heard that too, if its a roost than not to hunt it in the evenings...im not sure if its a roost or not. Ive only been out once so far and only saw a few birds.

the poroblem with an evening hunt is that ALOT of your birds are gonna be moving after LST. you can still try to catch a few moving earlier in the afternoon but the bulk of em will move right at dark. If your hunting public there is a dang good chance GW will be waiting for you at the ramp. And about the roost thing i can tell you i hunted my private land one night when they were roosting, there were duck everywhere. I havent got a limit there for 3 years now since i did that. Bad move on roosting em IMO. GOOD LUCK
