So I went out to load up some .44 Mag rounds in anticipation of a range trip tomorrow. I deprimed, resized, primed, and prepped 100 pieces of brass. Then I got my powder measure set and went to find my scale to check the charge. It wasn't on my bench. It wasn't in my cabinet. It wasn't in the house. I absolutely could not find it anywhere, and it's a fairly nice scale (RCBS 750). All I could think was that my wife had a garage sale last weekend, and even though I had laid a tarp over my loading bench and stapled it down, somehow it had gotten stolen. I looked high and low and finally found it hidden inside a box of sized cast bullets in the back of my cabinet. Reason? Wife saw it on the loading bench, thought it looked expensive, didn't want it to get stolen, so she hid it. FROM ME!!

Dude my wife hides my crap all the freaking time and then puts it back where it was when I wasn't looking. I have yet to catch her despite the security system I put in. She is just really good at thwarting the cameras and laser.

It's ok. I hid her straightening iron from her. That'll be a fun conversation at 5 am when she's getting ready for work...

I think someone hid the vacuum, duster, dishwasher and iron from my wife...or she just forgot how to use them. Either way, if she don't get it in gear she won't be hunting next weekend!

My wife had the audacity to throw away $1,200 worth of my hunting/fishing clothing 'cause I was stupid enough to bring my dirty clothes home from the hunting trip in a black plastic trash bag and sit it on the bow of my boat in the garage. Next trash day, Out They Went!!!!
Don't know who to blame, her or myself.

You fit $1200 worth of clothes in a single trash bag? I don't even own $1200 worth of clothes!

If I had 1200 bucks to spend on clothes, I'd have a new gun. Or maybe try one of those outrageously high scopes.

Then I wouldn't have a loading bench... Hard to fit that in a bachelor's apartment... Nah that won't be a problem. Some nice stout wood boards and a handful of 10" C clamps, and that tiny little thing that serves as an eating table transforms into a dandy loading bench. In no time flat, you can have it looking just like your old loading bench. Problem is, the now "ex" wife will still come over to your new place, manage to get in and out unseen by anyone and STILL hide your crap from you. Then, just like NTRP's darling bride, will sneak back in and place it out in plain site somewhere that you've already looked 2,082 times when it wasn't there. Beats all I ever seen how they'd go to that much trouble just to mess with our heads but it must bring them great joy because everyone of them I've ever known including daughters will do the same blasted thing about hiding our stuff and then putting it back 3 weeks later. Probably something in the female genetic code that makes them predisposed to have some compelling need to do this odd behavior. They probably been doing the same dam thing to their men clear back to when we were living in caves. I'd bet on it. One of these days, someone will stumble onto a rock painting from 10,000 years ago clearly showing some cave woman hiding their old man's flint knife and ball of tinder from him. Evil creatures they are I tell ya.
