I play "Find the deer with the binos" game. I scour every little space as far out as I can see for anyhting that looks remotely like a piece of a deer. It's amazing how many times you find a deer bedded down or just standing still. If that fails, I get down and go arrowhead hunting. First and foremost, deer hunting should be fun. If I'm bored, I ain't having fun. If I spook a deer, it won't be the first or last.

Practice doesn’t make perfect.
Practice makes permanent.

I look at pictures when hunting at my buddies place because he keeps a lot of lewd magazines in each stand. Cain't do that at my place cause momma and kids hunt there too.

Last time I was in the stand, the hogs woke me up when they came through. I like to read, watch dvd's, and listen to music. Oh, and look out the window now and then too!

I guess I'm the only person that don't try to entertain themselves while in the woods. I don't have time to read or anything, my eyes are always watching and my ears always listening.

I'm wondering why I stayed up so late and tried to keep up with the youngsters. It seems I should have learned by now!

I had put mirrors in stand to help me where I can see side to side with out moving much. Yes I like to look and listen to what is going on in the woods. I might like to read a little or kick back.

But being at the lease is place that you do what you want. We have enough people at work or home wanting us to do things. This is your time to do what ever makes you happy. If someone wants to sleep in insteadof going to the stand then so-be-it. That is there choice.
