How many trees will a buck rub his antlers on in a given area?

The reason I ask is we went to a new lease in Menard County and its only a couple hundred acres and just from the roads we saw 25 or 30 rubs going from the 2 blinds we have. Is that a lot or do deer use multiple trees?

Lots of rubs just means you have something to look forward to. Be ready when he steps out.

I agree.. what you really want to see is those BIG rubs.. the ones that are on 6 inch diameter trees and about 4 1/2 feet off the ground.. and more importantly scrapes.. but yes sounds like you have great buck activity in the area

I don't get it. I've been all over my 115 acres and have yet to find a rub. Yet I have pictures on cameras of at least 10 different 6+ point bucks. It's weird.........

My area is the same way... Lots of bucks, 3 shooters and not one scrape or rub yet!

I have the opposite.. 7 rubs within 80 yards of my feeder and I have yet to see the maker. Hoping I can catch him on the game cam soon... No scrapes so far, but I haven't walked around much, don't want to disturb them.

We filled feeders this past Sunday outside of Junction and saw numerous rubs and bunches of scrapes.

Differs every year for us. Some years they're all over the place and others not so many. Haven't seen many this year though i know the deer are there(been doing a little bowhunting). Did see a couple big rubs saturday while filling feeders. Definitely got me excited about this coming weekend. One was probably 6 inches in diameter.

I just wish I could find some trees that have been rubbed like I use to in Louisiana back in the day.
