I was wondering if anyone on here owns, or knows anything about Howa rifles. I have read the reviews online, and asked one forum member. All have been positive, so far. I just don't know much about the brand. I am looking at the 25-06 with axiom stock. What are the good, and the bad. Also do you know any dealers on the THF, or recomend one. Thanks Craig

I have a S&W 1700 LS that was built by Howa. It is a 243 and shoots good. When my 14 year old grand daughter started hunting that is the gun (NIB)that I took out of the safe for her to use. She started shooting true moa groups with Federal blue box (Walmart cheap stuff) with it. I have been very pleased with it and she loves it and that is good cause it will be hers one day down the road. Howa build Vanguards also.

Howa's are nice rifles. Howa produces their own line of rifles along with the Smith& Wesson 1500 and the Weatherby Vanguard. There is just not very many options or accessories for them.

I have a 1500 Stainless/Synthetic .270 and it is a great gun. Only thing I would recommend is a Timney trigger or the like. For an inexpensive rifle, Howa are hard to beat IMO.

I have a buddy building a custom rifle and he is using a Howa action and barrel. They are a very good buy.

Howa has been building the Weatherby Vanguard for years and years. Next time you're in a gunshop, Take a look at a Howa and the go over to check out the Weatherby Vanguard. They will be identical. That said, I purchased a Weatherby Vanguard for a sheep hunt several years ago. With the proper reloads that I worked up for it, It was and continues to be the most accurate big game rifle I own. I'd be very confident in purchasing a Howa!
