My wife surprised me last dove season by saying she wanted to shoot next season.
She has been out with me quite a few times over last 25yrs. She been around me hunting and our daughter shooting skeet. She has never fired a shotgun before. I would like to get a trainer skilled in teaching beginners. I'd like her to learn to shoot the correct way instead of how I learned witch was here's a gun go shoot.
Anyone here do training or know someone that they could recommend to do this?I don't mind traveling a little over an hour or so. Please let me know if you have any tips on getting her into shotgun/dove shooting.

Hes not cheap (about $300 an hour I believe right now).. but Dan Carlisle, a former Olympic medalist and former member of the US Army shooting team teaches private lessons at Texas Gun Ranch in Terrell... He helped my daughter A LOT with her sporting clays game with just a couple of lessons..

Another option might be Tim Cudia, although Im not sure if he is willing to teach adults.. he mostly works with High School kids these days I believe.. Tim is a former USN team member, in the hall of fame, etc.. he has a skeet range out behind his house and is an incredibly gifted instructor.. and extremely reasonably priced (for kids at least) if he is willing to take your wife on for a few lessons..

Looks like Fred Tschantz and Paul Giambrone are teaching a 2 day clinic at Northlake Shooting Sports on May 29th and 30th... cost is between $150 and $2K depending on what "package" you want to purchase.. both are NSSA Master Instructors... both are OSSA hall of fame members.. between them they hold 26 world titles and 15 US Open titles (among many more)...
