I'm sorta jealous. We haven't had rain here in the western part of Val Verde County, literally in months. Comstock, a couple miles away, got enough from a passing cloud the other day to almost wet the asphalt. You could see that the drops were not connected.

We have been getting about and 1" or 2" each week since early March in my area

We really have enough rain, I am ready for heat and sun.

Buffalo Sunday, 5 inches in 5 hours, lots of road flooding in the place. Lost one road in the back end.

In the last ten (10) days, 14 inches.

I'm sorta jealous of you too. I almost gut stuck filling feeders the other day, I can't get the tractor out and do anything because it would get stuck just about anywhere I tried to mow. Also, can't build the feed pen around the protein feeders like I want to, because it is just too muddy. Can't treat the pond for the hellacious amount of lily pads that we already have because the water is flowing out so fast it would just dilute the herbicide and make it ineffective. Can't get to the big downed tree that needs to be cut up (too muddy). Never thought I'd complain about too much rain, but here I am, complaining.

I have the same problem. Too muddy to clean up the downed trees. I tried to get to one big one back in the woods and was lucky to get the tractor back out. And, same problem with the pond. Fact is that I have a long list of things to do, but just have to wait. I hate waiting.

You have a full time job working on those trees old buddy lol and your patience sounds about like mine. We tried moving some equipment this morning and ended up getting 2 skid steers and an excavator stuck so we call it a day.

Fished Proctor throughout the 90's, love that lake, used to be great hybrid and crappie fishing.

I fished it hard from 85-96 for Hybrids using downriggers at first but then switched to live bait. They lost most of the Hybrids in early 97 when they thought the lake was going to go over flood pool and they open the flood gates in the winter when they were stacked up by the gates. Sand bass have taken over now, and few Hybrids compared to the early 90`s. This is from a June trip in 1995 with my good friend Paul Cook who was probably the best guide on the lake at the time. We went fishing almost weekly when he didn`t have a paid trip. His knowledge on striper fishing and keeping shad alive was amazing to say the least. He was one of a kind.

'Certainly haven't received as much as y'all, but our property is as green as I've seen it in the 5 years we've owned it. I just had mesquite and cedar removed off of approximately 200 acres of it, so hopefully the grass and forbs will come in thick.

Neighbors tank 2 weeks ago the runoff was prob 25 feet long now it’s about 2 -3 feet before it hits the tank. Another hard rain might drain the tank.

Buck, I’m about 6 miles South of Bowie and my land is kind of elevated. I don’t live there but I watch the clouds split when they get to my place. Neighbor about 1/2 mile West of me has a weather station that I watch on the web, I’ve generally get about 65% of what he gets.

I’ve been through too many SEVERE droughts to ever complain about rain. I’ve seen this much before.

Harold Taft, Worlds Greatest Weatherman, said “a drought always ends with a flood”
Those last two Summers were tough, maybe the toughest in my life.

My pond has been overflowing more days than not since the end of February…

Not much damage around here except for the tornadoes in Hodges….

I will always try and refrain from complaining about rain…

Just got a text from my nephew. His wife's family who lives in Caldwell just had 5 horses get struck by lightning.
