I don’t know about you guys, but in the 20 years we’ve owned this place, this is the most rain I’ve ever seen. Got a predicted 4 more inches coming today and tomorrow. More trees down. Roads getting washed out. I hope the pond overflow points can get the water out as fast as it goes in, or I might have a REAL problem.

I hope you guys in the drier areas are getting your share of this. I’m willing to share…

Looks like we made it out just in time. Really feel for the Texan's affected by the rain and flooding.

To be determined

It’s sucks but we’ve been getting this for a while now and it won’t be long before the “ You’ll be praying for the rain this summer group comes along” hammer Maybe so but I’m praying it stops right now lol
I feel your pain buddy but it’ll stop about mid June and start drying out, the way the jet streams set up currently you guys are in it a while longer.

Agree with thumper, take it when you can get it, been dry springs for several years in a row. Make sure with this awesome growth you isolate your yards for summer fires tho!

Still no rain here. We keep getting the 50 or more percentage to get rain, but it doesn't come. Feel sorry for those that are getting flooded, but we really need a flood here.

Proctor Lake and Lake Leon near me are still very low. Finally opened 1 ramp on Proctor last week after closing all of them last summer. Hopefully the rain will be in these areas to help fill them up.

Fished Proctor throughout the 90's, love that lake, used to be great hybrid and crappie fishing.

Not as much South of Bowie. As usual. My 3 acre tank came up about a foot. As did my 1/4 acre one. I’m still hurting. But, good rains are supposed to come today.

I have 10 duck lakes we drained for planting, lakes are empty but the flats are soupy mud now.

3 pallets 6' tall of millet or milo sitting under a tarp in the shed.

plant in july maybe? roflmao

and just think, next month starts the atlantic/gulf season we don't mention. some of those come across the gulf and we may float off into the ocean! at least we won't tip over like guam, there is that.

I would like it to break just long enough for me to mow and spray fence lines, I am waaaaaay behind on that.

At least I did get to shred the pastures around the house a few days ago. That was first on the to-do list. The rest of the long list just has to wait. I wonder how long…

We got another 2.5 inches of rain today. Gonna be a while before we can cut some hay. Lake Waco was 20ft over before this rain. Saw a video of cars stranded on Waco drive due to flooding.

we got another 1" today, but we are not crying uncle yet. Bridgeport is still down 8.5 feet. The current level still has us in Stage 1 water restrictions.

We all need to practice Whoa more.

6” here at the house today. Never seen our big pond overflow, but it did today, and not just at the chosen overflow spots. This place may never dry up. But you know that’s not true.

My place is 15 minutes north of Bowie off highway 82. My pond is the fullest it's been in 4 years.

We've had 15+" the last two weeks (Mills county), including 10" in five hours on 5/4. Took out the county road again and laid my fence over. Spent most of the day Friday clearing debris and standing it back up. I was fortunate, all animals are safe and nobody ran off. 12 miles downstream from me they lost 2 miles of low fence and a mile of high fence. I have one watergap that's just gone and 100' of fence along with it, but it's an interior fence. Maybe it will be dry enough next weekend to do some more repair.

This was the country road last Sunday, 5/5. Water's gone but it will be a while before they can repair the road.

I haven’t even checked on my water gaps. Hadn’t thought about it. Now I’m afraid to look. The good news for me, if it can be considered good news, is that I don’t have any cows to lose and all my fences are still standing (I think).

You typed it all in the title. I live halfway between Beaumont and Lufkin. More rain, with severe weather, predicted for today. Got 3" from midnight until dark yesterday. Had 11" rains twice in the last 40 days with other 5" and 6" and smaller rains mixed in there. Multiple highway closures all over. Flew into IAH 10 days ago coming from Canada (redeye) and headed home north an US 59 / I-69 and got 25 miles north of Htown and they were closing the highway. Made for a long night taking the detour back through Beaumont.

I'll also assume my potatoes are rotting in the ground right now. Grass is growing so fast I can actually see it. Got stuck multiple times Saturday trying to mow. Wetter right now that after Hurricane Harvey when we got 34" of rain in 3 days.

With the 2.5” last night in Trinity county we are over 40” for the year. Rivers and creeks are out of bank. Big rains north of us yesterday. That water will get here later this week. Fences down in places, washed out in places. Bridges compromised or washed out. Culverts blown out. Roads gone all over the county and it is too wet to attempt any dirt work. Asphalt roads cut in half in places undermined in other places. Spillways that can’t handle the volume of water manifesting in failed pond damns. Ground is completely saturated so everything we get is running off. Hardwood trees blowing over. If it stops today we will be wet for the remainder of May and more storms are forcast this afternoon. The locals have been catching catfish in the parking lot at the boat ramp on the Trinity River.

Wish I could share some of it with you boys out west that are still dry. We have a surplus right now.
