I stayed up to watch the whole thing. Once VGK pulled their goalie late in the 3rd, I got a little nervous. But a quick empty netter sealed the deal.

All 4 games have been won by the road team. Finally a decent start time coming up tomorrow at 6:30 (probably will start later than that, but still).

I like the late starts...let's me get stuff done while it's still light outside and the wife goes to bed early.

Saying that...the 1:20am win Saturday nite was a donkey kicker.

Same here.. Maybe the Stars are taking the same path as the Rangers... win all the road games up and a few home games along the way.

I'm a huge hockey fan here and have watched them for years. What they really need to work on is controlling the puck and not playing that dump and play into their zone. We also need to control their breaks, because every break they got I thought it was a 50/50 chance they were going to score. Will say their goalie is playing out of his mind right now.

This team ain't big enough in my opinion to not dump and chase...plus they win a lot those battles. Thompson is playing on his head.

I didn't like the "prevent defense" feel they had the 3rd period but it paid off last nite. Fingers crossed they win one at home.

The worse part of all of this...this is a tough series and the winner appears is going to get a rested Av's team...

Buzz can't tell if that's sarcasm or not lol. Also fingers crossed we get Marchment back tomorrow as he has played a pretty big roll for our team. Faksa is alright but we have enough depth to do without. Vegas is dangerous because they can turn on a dime at any moment.

I loathe, LOATHE the "dump and chase" puck offense.

Teams learned from Tampa Bay, that's the way to play Dallas.
The Dallas offense is so potent that harassing the forwards between the blue lines is the way to go.
Dallas then dumps in and goes to get the puck in the corners.

Whatever it takes, all I can say is "shoot more, especially on power plays."
Quit passing so much, just shoot and have a forward near the net looking for rebounds...Mr. Pavelski!

Go Dallas.

...!!

I played soccer my whole life and my coach always said just shoot, eventually one is going to go in. That's even MORE important in hockey as you'll have 1-3 players around the net looking for rebounds. Wyatt Johnson is that guy though...

Great game tonight. Now the Stars need to finish it off in Vegas and the go party like its 1999. (The last time we won the cup)

We looked great last night! Didn't see as much dump and play hockey and they seemed more organized. Defense played great keeping the pressure as well as creating steals in neutral ice. Now if only we could capitalize on those empty net opportunities trout Should have been a 5-2 win at least but hey a win's a win. Let's finish it off in Vegas and move on to the Avs

Game 6 tonight! I have a feeling Vegas is going to come out playing with their lives on the line and it will be an aggressive game. Hoping Ott can stay settled in goal and not make any dumb mistakes. Eliminate the neutral ice play for Vegas and limit their breaks and I think we can win this series. Vegas still hasn't confirmed which goalie will start tonight.

Well said. Not sure which one I would prefer them start...I'm leaning toward Hill over Thompson. Should be an awesome game.

Ditto.. Thompson can turn into a brick wall for periods on end. Hill is more up and down (pun intended).

I thought Thompson was lights out for much of the series, so I was really surprised to see him sitting last game.

BUSY BUSY sports night. Got the DVR set for the Mavs and Stars. I've got HS playoff baseball until ~9:00. Get home from that and then start watching basketball and hockey. Mavs take priority, but hopefully me and my boys can keep off our phones and get to watch the Stars as well without knowing the outcome.

I would much rather have Hill in goal than Thompson. Thompson seriously was a brick wall when he was in the net and I'm not really sure why they even pulled him in the first place. Still not sure about Marchment return. Have a feeling he'll sit this one out and if we go to game 7 he'll come back. Hopeful it's a great game but I got a weird feeling that this could go to game 7. Don't want it to but got a weird feeling.

Someone should correct "Dalas" in the title.

Dang...
