Whitehouse swept the 3 game series against Huntsville last night in Huntsville with a 1-0 score. We left a ton of guys on base but couldnt get em in. Huntsville gave a valiant effort and I felt for them. They have a brand new feild/complex and its really nice. Of course, almost everywhere we play is like that. A tremendous amount of money is put into HS athletic facilities. Its extremely rare that we play on a natural grass field.
We play Forney on Thursday at 7 at home then Friday at their place. Game 3 in Athens if needed.
My old home town Georgetown Eagles are rolling as usual.
I cant find an update on Lufkin and Mt Pleasant and Im curious.
I apologize in advance if I made any "slightly awkward descriptions". Free, think Flower Mound's coach, Danny Wallace used to coach your hometown team, Georgetown. I believe it was Hutto, maybe both. My son played 4 years for Danny at Flomo.

Bobo that's not correct, swept Mansfield Timberview in two close ones, 6-5, 2-1. That was I ment, Grapevine swept Timber view.

Bobo that's not correct, swept Mansfield Timberview in two close ones, 6-5, 2-1. That was I ment, Grapevine swept Timber view. They did the sweeping. I knew what you meant. Of course, I knew who was favored so that helped.

Cold bats. They put 11 up on Argyle . They better heat up. with that said they have Northwest next. Them and Heights will be a really good game if both make it that deep

Round two starts tonight. Exciting times for those involved. May get a little wet.
Besides our own team, Im keeping an eye on Lufkin and McKinney North.

In lightening delay. Whitehouse up 4-0 and batting in bottom of 6. Runner on 2 no outs. Grandson on deck. He hit an rbi line drive single and a sac bunt so far.
Loudest HS game ever been to.

Flower Mound took 32-4 Dallas Jesuit 3-1 in a tight one, can sweep it tonight in Flower Mound, Go Jags,,,, Yep, we had another great pitching performance by our ace and the boys created some havoc on offense without many big hits. A complete game shutout allowing 4 hits, 9 Ks, 0 walks. Solid defense behind him. In our 3 playoff games we havent been scored on at all, yet, while giving up 7 hits, 23 Ks and 4 walks. Our second tier of pitching is suspect, so we will see.

Whitehouse lost to Forney 2-1 last night in Forney. Game 3 today in Athens at 2pm. Both teams appear to be down the pecking order on available quality pitching so it should be interesting. If I had to guess I would say the first to about 8 will win. Winner to face an always tough Lufkin team.

Lufkin was even tough back in the 90s. My last playoff game as a junior was against Lufkin.

I’m live in Clyde, we lost game 1 to Brock 2-3. Game 2 today has been delayed and they are having to find a new field due to heavy rain.
Update: It’s 6-5 Brock is up in the 4th. Game has been moved to Abilene Cooper field and will resume at 7:30.

A buddy's kid we coached as a child got a bases loaded two out game winning RBI single for Era yesterday as reported by his dad. Haven't watched an inning of high school baseball in four years.
