What did the trick for me is that the numbers are almost the same as a 7 mag. Mine is a Browning A-bolt and it is sweet. I have a Rem Model 7 in .223, not sure I'd really like it in .270 WSM though. Have a Savage in .204 Ruger that is a tack driving son-of-a-gun. I'd guess the 270 WSM would be good from them too.
