No, it is not the hill country or south Texas and that is a plain fact, and I started out deer hunting when a good lease was $1.00 an acre, and can rmeber when there were few or no deer in many places that today are leasing for as much or more than what my friend is asking on his place. That is one of the reasons I doe hunt, but that does not mean that I am gonna sit around and bad mouth folks for charging what the market will bear for a lease. Go back thru the past threads on the subject of lease fees, and I think you will notice that it is a fairly general concensus that as long as HUNTERS are willing to pay the prices, they are not going to come down. I can't do anything about that, and neither can you. No one is buying the land, all they are doing is leasing the right to trespass on it and kill deer, plain and simple. I agree that lease prices are too high, STATE WIDE, of course I ain't a horn hunter either and I ain't never seen me a white tail buck that I would pay $150.00 for, but I will be the last person that tries to tell anyone that they are charging too much for what they are offering. -------------------- Being Mentally Absent is not a Bad thing.
