Ironwood Woodsman Reged: 10/01/05 Posts: 132 Loc: Lufkin Re: 30-30 30-06 and 7mm mag reloading.       06/28/08 04:04 PM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   JKoenig, If you are still following this thread here's what I found to be best in my rifles. 30/30 - Winchester 748 with the Speer 150 grain FN. 30-06 - IMR 4064 with almost any 150 grain bullet. My favorite is the 150 Nosler Partitioned or 150 Sierra Pro Hunter. 7MM Remington Magnum - R-22 with 160 grain Nosler Partition. In my tang safety Ruger 77, that bullet at about 2865 fps MV will group sub 1" at 100 yards. I'm sure there are newer powders that will give more velocity but these bullet and powder combinations have worked good for me over the years. -------------------- Born in the Pineywoods of East Texas a long long time ago.
