I am going to look at a lease that has 2 miles of Red River frontage in the area between Vernon and Quanah. I was on a lease up that way 10 years ago and found the area very ripe with game...quail, turkey, deer, varmits, dove. Though we were mainly hunting quail, dove and turkey at the time, I remember there being a fair amount of ducks in the Red River and the related slews. The property I am going to look at has several good size tanks in addition to the frontage. Anyone have anything thing can share about waterfowl hunting in this area?
