ardodson Bird Dog Reged: 12/20/05 Posts: 296 Loc: Denton, Tx Replacing bearings       05/14/08 02:10 PM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   Does anyone have any experience replacing bearings on a truck, I have a 2002 Chevy 1500 z71 and I think the bearings are going out, as I accelerate a loud squeaking noise is coming from my front drivers side wheel area, as I go faster the noise stops or I just cant hear it over my tires. I have called around and have been told that on this year model you have to replace the whole drum, rotor, bearing assembly as a whole because they are "SEALED BEARINGS" and the price for them is anywhere from 90 to 350 but I was never told what the price difference was for, I am assuming better quality.
