duckhunterdfw Pro Tracker Reged: 06/19/07 Posts: 1099 Loc: North Texas Re: Heart worms       04/29/08 06:33 AM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   if your dog has HW Ivomec can kill or have a very high chance to kill.Ivomec will kill the worms and they get lodged(or stuck ) in the heart and basically the dogs blood flow will be compromised or even stopped.The ONLY SAFE way is with the shots in the spine the VETS give.They do have to stay still and non active for awhile but never heard 30 days.I worked for a vet for several years while in school and have seen the procedure hundreds of times.
