How far do most of you park your ATV from your stand/blind, when hunting?

One place I park about 150yrds away and another feeder only about 50yrds. The closer one is close to a road, so the animals are used to the noise.

I don't really have a main parking spot but usually I walk from the gate which is at least 1/2 a mile or maybe a little more.

From my primary stand I park about 3/4ths of a mile away, which puts me about 1/2 mile away from my other two spots!
I try to park in the same spot every time!

Same here, lots of folks like to hunt out of blinds but I've killed lots of deer out of a truck.

I usually always park at least 1/4 mile away from the stand, unless it's in a unique place and I can get away with parking a little closer. But one place we used to hunt out in Menard, the deer were extremely sensitive to the sound of a 4-wheeler. They didn't care about the sound of the rancher's truck, but the minute you cranked up a 4-wheeler they would get really skittish if they were within ear distance of it........so we would walk to our spots all the way from camp, which was probably about 1.5 miles or so. Killed my biggest buck ever on that place......

bow hunting, little farther, gun hunting...as close as I can get and hide it, but I go into the woods early early, so it's had an hour or two to quite down after I kill the Honda...

bowhunt on 189 acres, park at camp and walk to every stand on the place. no driving unless to work or pick up an animal! My big ranch, drop you off 15 yds from your stand, pick ya up later. Much different hunting

I park right under my tower stand in brush. The deer will walk right by it even the big boys do not pay it any mind. It needs to be coverd with brush where the deer dont see it. just my .2

depends on where i hunt... for instance - if i can't drive to the spot i'm hunting, i obviously walk there... in Victoria, i'll walk about 3/4 mile to the stand... in Ozona, i'll drive and park right underneath the deer blind or right next to it, since i have to drive 5 miles from camp to get to almost any deer blind anyways... i don't think the smell of cars effect deer movement as much as human scent.

I'm a firm believer in the saying "the more you walk, the more you see." I always take my truck and park it in the pasture about 3/4 mile from one of the areas where I hunt. I also take it and park it at the camp at another place I hunt before walking that same distance or more to another stand site. Sure, you can see deer, even if you park your ATV under your stand. But I firmly believe the oldest bucks "get used" to the sound of ATV's by laying low when they hear them.
This approach started for me two seasons ago when I took the buck below in the Davey Crockett NF in a spot that I've hunted for years. Until then, I always rode my ATV from the road to a spot where I could park it closer to my stand. Just to see if it might make a difference, I decided to walk in that Opening Morning instead. Needless to say, I always walk in now and have seen more deer every season as a result.
I took this buck around 9:30am as he came slipping through the woods from the direction of a road in the NF that other hunters use their ATV's to reach their private lease.
Just my opinion, but ATV's should remain in camp until there is meat on the ground.
