For 2009, I am offering the following hunts and pricing to THF Members, if a THF Member wants to put together a group that includes Non members, the prices will apply to them also.
3 night/2 day Gun or Archery Semi-Guided/Self-Guided Javelina-Predator-Jack Rabbit hunt.
Meals and lodging included.
Hunters will be assigned to a pasture that has proven to be a consistant producer, I will have an area in the pasture baited.
These pastures range from a few hundred to a couple of thousand acres in size.
I will be available to help with game recovery.
Guide service will be available on a limited basis at $25.00 per day per person.
Some transportation while on the ranch during the hunt will be available.
Cost of hunt is $600.00, for anyone interested in also hunting Spring Turkey, add $200.00 to the price.
Need a minimum of 2 hunters and a maximum of 6 hunters.
Anyone wishing to add a day of hunting, it is $50.00.
Anyone wishing to take a second Javelina, it is $100.00.
A second turkey is $150.00 on this hunt.
Notice, on all hunts, on Javelina and Turkey Only, Blood drawn equals game killed, this applies to gun or bow.
Javelina hunts can be booked from Feb. thru May, Spring Turkey hunts available only during the open season.
Interested parties will need to contact me for available dates as some dates have already been booked.

What is your definition of semi guided....as opposed to guided.......and then self guided....
Is self guided....the same as semi guided.....

No, it isn't.
Self Guided means that I will give a map of the pasture that hunter/those hunters will be hunting in to them at the start of their hunt period.
They will be given a key if necessary, shown where the pasture is, the most direct route from the Hunt Headquarters to that pasture.
They will also be shown where the boundary fences to their pasture is.
They will have to use their vehicle to travel to and from Hunt Headquarters to their assigned pasture.
They will not be allowed to just ride around the ranch, and will have to stay with in the designated boundaries of the pasture they have been assigned.
They will be responsible for field dressing their own animals, I will do the skinning for a shoulder mount at no charge, providing they do not make a mess of the field dressing.

These folks will be taken to a stand or a pasture where we have traditionally killed javelina, the area will be baited and the hunter will be shown the boundary fences of the pasture they are in and will be shown places where to drag a javelina too to be picked up.
These folks will be checked on every 2 to 3 hours, they do not have to field dress their animals if they do not want to, and skinning for a shoulder mount is included.

Hunting is done by Spot & Stalk or Stumble On, either from a vehicle or by walking various productive areas of the ranch or buy sneaking in to areas that have been baited.
Field care and handling of game is included.

On all hunts lodging and meals are included in the cost of the hunt.
There is an extra charge of $50.00 for anyone wanting a Javelina skinned for a Full Body mount, this has to be decided on by the hunter, Self/Semi/Fully Guided, prior to the animal being killed.
For THF members, a second Javelina is $100.00, a second turkey is $150.00.
