Ok guys, Been kind of busy, so I am just now getting to post my story. Myself and two friends that I guide with headed out West of Denver to chase Mulies up in the HIGH country. We were hunting from 11,000 to 14,000 feet. Let me tell you, there is not enough oxygen that high up for a FAT boy! We started out the week by spotting a monster that would score right at 200 inches. We stalked that sucker 3 times only to have the swirling mountain winds blow our cover. He was a true giant. I also put a few stalks on some deer in the mid 170's, but had the same outcome. It wasnt until the last day that I found my deer hanging by himself. He wasnt the biggest deer, but being the last day, he was big enough! I started my stalk which was almost straight down hill and knew it was going to be a long one. There wasnt much cover for me to hide behind since we were above tree line, so I just took it nice and easy sliding down on my butt. I covered about 300 yards in about 2 hours and I knew I was getting close to the bedded buck. Finally after looking and looking, I spotted just the tips of his antlers in the willows. Game On! The last 150 yards were shoeless and at a snails pace. I didnt want to screw this one up. Just as I got in close to bow range, the buck stood up and started feeding. I just knew he was going to bust me. After about 10 minutes he bedded down again. I started to inch my way forward, and soon enough I was 50 yards from the buck. The terrain just wasnt going to let me get any closer. I was just going to have to wait him out and pray that he didnt see me. after another 30 minutes or so, the buck stood up and headed to my only good shooting lane. He stepped out broadside at 50 yards, and I let one fly. I heard the arrow hit and watched the buck run about 20 yards and stop to look back. He began to wobble, and I knew I had nailed him. He went down right there, and I had my first Full Velvet buck! That was a hunt to remember!
 Hunting above the clouds!
My buck was bedded in this bowl.

Jeff, Great looking buck! You can't beat that high country for beauty. I just got back from helping some friends on a 10 day Elk hunt at 13000ft and I can defiantly relate to the no oxygen.

Thanks guys. This really was an awesome hunt. I have been on some tough hunts, but nothing that compared to this one. I dont know how those sheep hunters do it.
