I have the 10x42's, they are great...I got the Bino system, the around my neck just killed me, even tho they arent that heavy it was enough. I hightly suggest getting those for your binos.

You left out all the good ones......Simmons, Tasco, Etc!
I will keep on using the Bausch & Lombs I got for Christmas a few years ago! They work just fine, and I would rather drop a ton of money on a scope than a pair of Binos anyway!

I recently picked up a new pair of Bushnell Infinity 8.5 x 45's.. Thats what I will be using from the stand. Another hunt I go on is more spot and stalk in the woods so I will carry my Vortex 8 x 28 Hurricanes.

I quit carrying Binoc's to the blind, and started carrying a Nikon Spotting scope. It helps in trying to age the deer on the hoof, as well as antler configuration. The down side is that it also intensifies the buck fever.

Bit the bullet and bought a pair of Swarovski EL 10x42's last year. I figured binoculars are absolutely the most important piece of gear I use and spent the extra money to get a good setup.
