My wife killed a big hog last season with a muzzy phantom(cut on contact), left a big whole and the pig didn't go far at all. I usually use muzzy 100's 3-blade and have had good success.

Maggie's got a good head on her shoulders for where the pigs are and what they will be doing.

I used a mechanical on one 2 years ago. I cant remember what it is I shoot but I wouldnt recommend the mechanicals. It did its job to my suprise. It only penetrated about 4 inches on a quartering to me shot right behind the shoulder. I am switching to a cut on contact fixed blade.

Capital punishment, far too infrequent, way too private.

I use spitfires for everything. Try them once and you will be a believer. Have NEVER lost a hog using them. As a matter of fact have never not gotten a passthru. Have pretty good equipment though.

MUZZY 100gr 3-blade I've put down 12-14 pigs with those Muzzys. Had one I couldn't find, but he weighed in excess of 300lbs and I probably had no business trying to put him down with a bow/arrow anyway. Followed a blood trail forever till it played out in a swampy bottom.
Definatley wouldn't use mechanicals though. Oh, and shoot low in the shoulder. Their vitals sit lower than a deer. You almost have to shot through the middle of the leg to get to the heart. You really need to wait for a quatering away shot to do it right and put em down quick.

Slick tricks seem to be as effective as anything I have used. They are strong and hold up well well after going through bone.

I have put 2 spitfires into pigs. one passed through and the hog went 15 yards and died, the other did a 360 around the feeder, came back in and looked around like it had been bit by a horse fly. Arrow looked perfect but did not penetrate much into the shoulder.
I'm going to keep shooting spitfires for now

Ive used thunderhead 100's on pigs from 50-400 pounds without a failure. Most have been pass thrus.Just pick one thats strong and is razor sharp and flys well from your setup and you shouldnt have any problems.

I switched to Rage 2 blade last year. I was using Muzzy before that. The rage is amazing so far. All my shots were double lung shots with complete pass through. Amazing blood trails and each hog didnt go more than 40 yards.
