Is there some fine print that says you also sign up for the magazine? or is it just one of those things where they automatically sign you up and if you don't cancel within X amount of time, you are billed for it?
I signed up for several public draw hunts this year for the first time, but I didn't sign up for any of the Big Time hunts. I am just hoping the magazine doesn't "come" with the regular hunts as well.

I signed up for the Whitetail Bonanza and one of the bird hunts. Someone has to win.

I sign up for the Grand Slam and the birds every year. I'm with rudy99, maybe the sun will shine on this old dog this year ( I did draw in New Mexico this year !).

Nope, whether you enter the BTTH or apply for any of the Special Drawing Hunt categories, you will not automatically receive the TPWD magazine or sent a bill/invoice for one.

Thanks. Now all I have to do is sit back and see if I got picked.

I will say a felt a little cheated with the online sign up. They advertise that it is $9 per entry instead of $10. They don't tell you about the "convienience charge" you get popped with at checkout, which bumps the price to $11.50 per ticket. Guess I should have mailed it in.

They send you one free issue and them send you a bill for a year.

Every year I spend about $100 on it but have never gotten lucky enough to be drawn. Maybe this year will be different!

It is $9 to enter, but there is a $1.50 convenience charge. Just like buying tickets through ticketmaster.
