just wait until they come out at night and shoot them dudes...unless you are in the city. If you are then just sneak up on them when they are out and throw a bucket over them.

We have used the hav-a-heart traps with good success. One word of warning though, if you shoot them and they bleed on your driveway, wash the blood off immediately because once it dries, it is a pain to get off.

We used frog gig spears in the past in urban areas with great success. If you have a sprinkler system that goes off at night just be waiting around a little after it kicks off and they will come out into the yard. Then you get to practice your stalking skills with a spear.

if you have to kill something in the city use cci cb 22short or long shells they are low velocity and will kill. they are very quiet out of a rifle...you could shoot it at your neighbors front door and he would never hear it

I hear they like Lone Star Beer, if you can find it.

The live trap or have the city come by and put out a trap, some will do that for you but you have to ask.

If you are going to trap them, you will need to set up a funnel into the trap. Bait doesn't work. And they can tear a coon trap up in a hurry and get out.

Traps are set in front of holes. I set a funnel up with a few bricks on one. It rained tonight so they should be out pretty soon.

We will see:)

They dont have the best sight, hearing is ok & smell is pretty good. IF....IF you can sneek up on one, grab its tail FAST or you might get a face full of dirt. Careful if you handle one, they deficate trying to escape.

IF?
They are way easy to sneak up on.
Just the other day I walked up to one and booted it about 15 feet out of the yard!

What you are recommending is illegal and those that may not know the ordinances, laws and regulations, would end up in serious trouble with fines and possibly arrest by your post.

Recommend legal means, not illegal means.

A word of caution

Ready for this?
It is not legal to discharge an air rifle in our city limits!
Firearms? well that's okay, of course!
Crazy rules!

So did you catch any yet or not? My guess is you will need about 10 feet of funnel. Wish I would have some more move into my yard, I had fun trying to catch them.

On a side note, when I was a kid there were some young ones in our back yard. I started feeding them worms and grubs that I dug up. It got to where they would follow me around and would bounce a ball back and forth between themselves. They would actually made a pretty good pet (if it was legal).

Traps were untouched. I did shoot on with a 410 and hit another with a shovel before he ran under the deck.

I will not give up: )
