That's a good area you're in, I hunted just east of you a few years ago and almost connected with a 180+.

2 Years ago we hunted on 8,000 acres near Cambridge, there was a 230+ killed this past season about 4 miles away. We've moved a little more east since then, I've got a good friend who leases a bunch of ground and I hunt with him now.

If you are still looking for a deer hunt, you can give me a call. We have several ranches in the Childress area that we offer fully guided whitetail hunts on. We take four or five deer every year that score over 160 and we have a few spots open for '08. 940-453-4224 Chad.

Check out the other High Lonesome www.myspace.com/highlonesomehunt

I believe there are three High Lonesome Ranches. Ours was named by Beatrice Willoughby whose husband J.O. bought the place off Grinnell in the early 1900's. The place lies between Eldorado and Ozona off HWY 190. It is now owned by my wife and her brother and sisters. I run hunts for my wife and her sister over 1600 ac.

We offer do it yourself / semi guided hunts with lodging and meals included. If Colby's dad doesn't call me to confirm their spot for this year I have a few openings left. We have two types of hunts available in 3 or 5 day packages. I do not charge by the B&C score. Our most expensive hunt is only 2000.00 and you may harvest the deer of your choice. Management hunts are 800.00.
