Met up with gr_elliott and his wonderful and supportive wife, Ashley at Eagle Peak. I was reminded that she is the one who actually owns his Super Black Eagle.
We went through 225 targets and had a blast. The Xtrema 2 is so much softer on the shoulder than my Beretta ES-100 Pintail. The Pintail has an older style "Inertia" system.
I think the X2 is slightly softer than the SBE, but they are close with the 2.75" 1.125oz shells we were using. I don't think there is much difference and you would need some calibrated equipment to tell the difference. I did not get the Kick-off model but don't think I'll miss it much. If I go on a snow goose hunt I might change my mind.
I can tell you that the X2 throws shells a long way. I think they were landing about 10-12 feet away from where I was standing.
Thanks for coming out and shooting with me gr_elliott I owe you some beers.

Wish I could have been there. Grandma wanted to see the kiddo for the 4th.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your new "prize" Might need to purchase me a raffle ticket before the Teal season.

I'd like to try that gun out. We'll have to get together in a few weeks. Once I get this move out of the way, unpacked, etc, I'll have a little more time.

That is a great gun. You will not regret buying it at all.
