Well, I have been feeding diamond lamb & rice for a few years now & thought I was happy with it. But several weeks ago we ran out & the feed store was closed so I told my wife to get IAMS from wally world, told her just get a 20 pound bag & I'll pick up some diamond next week. Well, I noticed first, how much they liked it, then how much more solid the poop was, then how much less the kennels smell, now don't get me wrong, the diamond wasn't giving them hershey's squirts but it wasn't solid either. I had allready picked up a 40 pound bag of diamond before I noticed this so I had to endure the smell for 2 more weeks but now they are back on the IAMS and all is good. So to the people that have posted on here asking about the best dog food please accept my apology for telling you that diamond was the best. I think the best part of switching back to IAMS is how much easier it is to find. Oh, and in case you are wondering, to feed 5 dogs the IAMS is gonna cost me $10 more a month.

I noticed the same thing with my dogs. I used to only buy eukanuba, and it seemed alright for my gsp. When I got my EP, she didnt do as good on it, so I switched to Diamond and noticed the runny turds in both of them. After two big bags, I switched to pro plan and they both do well on it now. I think it depends on the dog more than anything. But Diamond just didnt do it for mine.

I'm sure some dogs are different, but I have 3 britt's and 2 gsp's (two inside & three outside) and the IAMS seems to work good for all of them. Diamond don't work for none of them. And the way I look at it is this, when you aren't solid, do you feel good? No, you're stomach hurts. So why would I do that to my pride and joy's? I'm sure there are many opinions on this.

You know whats funny. I usually feed my dogs Pro Plan, but last week I did not have a chance to make it to the feed store, so while I was in Walmart I picked up a bag of Iams Natural recipe. The dogs liked it enough that I'm tempted to keep them on the Iams. It is about half of what I was paying for pro plan

I use extreme dog fuel. its really a good dog food and a whole lot cheaper than all those.i used to use nutro high energy and the extreme dog fuel is alot better. Brookshires and bass pro shops carry it. its 25.00 at brookshires for a 40 pound bag.
