7mag,

What do you consider a "management" buck on your place?

Got a few guys interested in heading to Texas next year ('09) so I'm helping them look.

Last years were all good 8's....5 1/2 year old deer....
there is still a huge old, 8 point that they went after last year and didn't connect on......

Look at the pics from this thread.....

Thanks 7mag.

I'll pass this along. Last management hunt I was on in Texas was very good and I had a blast. I think our three bucks averaged around 140" (1 8pt and 2 9pts) but one of them was 152" which is rare for a management buck. These guys would be very happy with a 130" 8pt all day long. I know I would. lol

They would be very patient also and wouldn't shoot the first 120" 8pt that came along. Most of them aren't new to guided hunts so it wouldn't be really hard on your guides.

Roy,
Would not miss it for the world after last year trip.
Great place and glad to see things worked out. Just glad to hear Trent and his family faired well in the fires. Sometimes the fires are benefical for the vegetation, wildlife, and hopefully they did not lose any structures? Put me down for the Doe Package W/O potatoes.
Always, James

Hey Jerry ; Yeah, I'm doing pretty good with the windmills. making a HELL of alot more than I was before. Still learning alot. Its easy going, NO stress, NO supervisor hanging over me and screaming at me, it just me and my parnter.
I was looking at the month of october, I'm not sure I can make that one, But the others I'm pretty sure I can make. How much money does he need down for the does and mgt.buck.
