Well it's getting kinda cool out in west TX and feels like hunting weather for sure. Looking forward to seeing James and THB. There is no doubt James is going to connect on 2 does, no doubt in my mind what so ever. I already have the perfect set up for James, the blind by the lodge He can't miss. Whitetail and mule deer along with some javelinas are coming to that feeder. Looking forward to seeing James and sharing and making some more memories. Already thinking of that coffee in the am and those good ole fried taters I hope you like it out here James, and we look forward to seeing you and helping you get your deer this year. With as many hunters as we are going to have, that walk in cooler is gonna get a work out. I never have asked if you have ever been in this neck of the woods, or more so hunted ??? This will be a banner year, with al the rains. I will give you a personal tour of the place in between hunts, so bring your camera looking forward to sharing the fire, and hope your as anxious as we are

Roy and guys, Thanks for the comments very much guys. I know we are all excited, ready for the campfire, sharing some good times together again with old friend, and meeting some new one. Nothing beats the times around the deer camp. Just glad that the weather and abundant rains have blessed the whole state this year and it should make for some healthy game and record racks. Hope everyone has good luck this year and I am excited to be able to go to some of these fine places with old great friends. Looking forward to meeting Jerry, Pete, other also. I am sure that walk in cooler will get a workout! Mike -It will be hard keeping that THB out of the ponds. I know the old DAV group had a great last year, thanks to some special people here, whom made it possible. We had some fine hunts, great times, lot of sharing memories, fine camp meals, and a freezer full of pork, venison, etc. Made for some fine eating and memories. A special THANKS to Roy, Mike, Dearil, Vernon, Trent, and many others for sharing some fine times with the DAV guys. I know you guys have several other events going on this year and I would like to say thanks for taking the time, and all the special things you are doing for some special people. Good luck with your events this year, and thanks for sharing and making all of it possible. Just hoping that some more people would step up, and make places available for some fine memories. The need is there especially with our returning number of injured troups, and the help here is just waiting on the place to do it. Just say the word and they will step up. Good luck and a safe return for all our guys annd gals fighting for our freedom and peace. Roy -I have been through some parts of West Texas many times, and it is always an exciting, rugged, and beautiful place to visit. We hunted mule deer in the Davis Mountains area one time. We have back packed to the peaks of Guadalupe mountains, El Paso and Franklin mountains, Rafted the Rio Bravo from Lajitas to Langtry- unbeliveable trip, Balmorhea SP, and been on Lake Amistad and Del Rio many times years ago in college days. It is such a big area, and I don’t think I have been through Fort Stockton, but I am looking forward to seeing the area again. West Texas is an amazing place, and I away feeling that I need to go back one more time and see just down the road just a little farther. Looking forward to the times together, and sharing the fire with some fine guys. Keep it up. Got the gun, coolers, and camera ready. Are we there yet!!! James

Go get 'em James!!! I can't wait for Jay to get out here too. Nothing like a great hunt with your friends.
Be sure and tell Trent hello for me. I sent him an email on the website, but didn't get a response.

Hey Tommy, Trent's been on the road for about three weeks now, Texoma, and the Red River, I'm sure he didn't get the email, you may want to try again.
Mike seeing how everybody thinks I should stay out of Trent's stock ponds, I guess we'll need to stop by yours on the way in or back How you seen any ducks this year

Hey James, Congrats on the hunting trip and a big thanks to LSTO for letting you hunt. Looks like you had a really good time and I see you brought home some meat. You know James that we are blessed to have ranch owner's give us a place to hunt. They are few, so I'm very thankful to TheHag. Very Grateful.

Jay, We all had a great time on the LSTO hunt. Saw lots of game, WT deer, M deer, Turkey, Javelina, Quail, Dove, 2 Mounted Cougars, and even a pet Bob cat. Lots of pretty country and a nice campfire with all the guys. Fun just hanging out and eating some great meals. Got my freezer full with 2 does and some Javelina. Have a good hunt with the Hag and best to you and Tommy always.
