David Sullivan, Buckmaster, and NWTF should be a great group of people and hunts are legit. Lot of these hunts are East coast and SE USA. Good luck to you guys. Thanks much for your service. Pop some smoke if you need anything in any way. There are a bunch here (THF) just waiting to help you however they can. Fair wind and following seas. James

Nathan_at_Fork,
Don't blow out the candle yet! They have not made an announcement of the winners yet. He has his hands full with activities this time of the year. I will check with David and see when it will be made. Good luck and thanks.

This is my first time here, but does anyone know if drawings for disabled vet hunts are presented regularly? Thanks.

Welcome to the campfire Grey; Pull up a stump and join in the BS. It gets to be the pits around here sometime, so just puff smoke if you need some cover fire. BS is thick -Bring your waders. And most of all thanks for your service!
There are some great guys here, so hang around and we will find you a seat on a hunt - you will be surprised at what will show up for you. The COA Group is in your area (NETX) and does a super job of putting on several Challenged Vet hunts a year. Check their web site for information. Also check David Sullivan's link above and sign up with their group.
There are also several THF members whom are very active with the Challenged and DAV Hunts as Volunteers, Participates, Sponsors, and Advocates. I know we have had several wonderful and very gracious Challenged, Veterans, and DAV, Vet, Deer hunts, Dove hunts, Hog hunts, Varmit, and Waterfowl hunts that were conceived and furnished to members of THF. There were a lot of great campfire memories made by some great guys. There is planning going on now for 2008 season with more surprises coming.
PM me your email address and I will send you some info to look at. Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Grey, Got your PM -Thanks! Good luck and may God be with you on your tour of Iraq.
We expect to hear from you on occasions and dont forget the pictures and stories. And we (THF member) will be here for you when you return in the spring of 09. Get ready for a hunt guys because I know he will be ready on return! Just keep your head screwed on good while you are away. Thanks for doing the duty.

I went on one of the COA hunts last year and had a great time. I am 100% service connected. I took a decent sized doe. Didn't ever see a buck. Man, they really treated us right. They feed use great homecooked meals. They would drive us out to the blinds in the mornings and in the evenings. Really nice folks.
