Hey Jay, you better get out to the range this year so we don't have to give you a hard time about putting dirt in their eyes.  Teresa and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. She has already planned to take vacation the week before so we can leave early on Friday. I am taking off on Friday as well.
If I can get down there early enough, I'll have some good food cooked and ready for everyone. I have already smoked a pork shoulder and have it in the freezer, all I have to do is heat it up and make some potato salad and stuff for sides. It's supposed to be cold this year according to the Farmers Almanc, so come prepared. I'm getting so excited, I really want to see you with a monster buck laying at your feet.

 Alright DDT, I went yesterday and shot a few times! Still needing to go another time because I was shooting out of my new chair and it rocks like a rocking chair.  I'll have to use my old chair, it's more steady,
We are going to leave earyl to I hope! 
The smoke pork sounds good.   ,LoL
I'm ready and I can't wait to see you guy's again
I really need to do a lot more shooting so I can nail that sucker!

Well Jay.... we have a ton of deer coming to the feeder that you hunt. I haven't been over to the cliff to see what's coming in over there. Will check it out this weekend. We have a ton of hogs running all over the ranch this year. I've already gotten 6 with my bow! I hate pork meat, so they just got drug into the brush at the top of the hill on the way to the stand.
I even went and got some carpet to put on the floor of your stand. Should make it really quite in there for you.

I have one buck I call "Elvis". He got something all wrapped up in his rack. He's a 6 pointer. It appears he got into some kind of stuffing from a seat or something. It made a wig that falls down on both sides of his face. Looks like he has a wig on.
Another buck we call the "Bandana Buck". He got caught in a pig trap as a fawn. My ranch hand tied a red bandana around his neck and turned him loose. He's now a two year old 8 pointer and still has the red bandana around his neck.
It sure is funny to see Elvis and Bandana come up together. The other deer are scared of Elvis. I have to admit that he sure does look wierd with that wig on.
I watched a really nice 17" wide 8 pointer at the feeder last weekend. Haven't seen the really big ones that I let walk last year. I'm still waiting on them for sure. But, Barbie will be in the stand this weekend with her gun. They had better not come out for her or I won't get a chance with my bow.
I will email you a picture of a buck my cousin shot last weekend with a bow. Man, he's huge! I'm sure the one you missed last year is still running around this year.

The smoked pork I have is store bought Tommy, but if you don't like pork i can do a brisket, or something else. Please let me know, as I want everyone to be happy, and full.
