Im wondering about hunting. Are there qualification as far as the degree of disability? Im 50% by the VA and on Social Security Disability but Im not in a wheel chair or anything and can get around pretty good, just use a cane most days and cant lift anything heavy or stand for long periods. Im here in East Texas and would love to try and get out there as I doubt Ill get out on my own. Let me know about it. Thanks.

Nathan, Good deal and looking forward to meeting you! COA put on some great hunt and there are several DAV and wonderful people on these, You will have a great hunt, campfire, BS, and some fantastic food. Be glad to see you there. You need any help just contact us and we will help out any way we can. I live in metromess and I ride up with another DAV and we come right by there. We would be glad to get you there if you need any help. We plan on making both hunts with COA if possible. Maybe split a motel room in Texarkana? or share a pop up? depending on weather. My condition is about like yours and they help you any way needed. Check my user information and shoot me an email with phone number. Check out COA web site. See u soon! I got the application for the Wright Patman hunt today and will send it out tomorrow. It asked for proof of disability. Will a copy of my Social security disability approval letter be sufficient? I also have a letter my Dr had written about my condition for the VA but it is over a year old now. Hopefully those two things will be enough.
I was wondering about bringing someone with me. My dad will be here for Thanksgiving. Not sure if its allowed or how it would work. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Ditto Nathan
Dearil, Looking forward to seeing the COA crew again. Also sharing the new fireplace that COA and COE built. The picture of the Fireplace and rockwork looked fantastic. Great job. I know everyone is proud of it. Have you got a picture of the fireplace on the website yet? I would post a picture or a link to fireplace and pavilion but I can’t find one at the moment. Im looking forward to meeting everyone as well. Just wondering about the place we will be hunting. I understand that blinds are already in place and everything. Are they set up for closer range or distance? Just wondering with the way they are setup, an open sighted 30-30 for close to mid range, or a .270 with scope for long range would be better? Will there be info sent out about when to meet and how everything is going to work? Sorry for so many questions, just excited as I thought I was not going to get out to hunt at all. Thanks.
