buy birds

Any close place to buy some pigeons or quail just for training purposes. So not looking to spend a lot since mostly to help steady my britany pup on point. I'm in the Frisco area.

Check your PMs. You can buy birds (pigeons and/or quail) at the McKinney Trade Days but they are not cheap and in my experience the pen-raised quail were no good. A few flushed beautifully but most won't flush if you kick 'em. FWIW

I have 200 birds ready Sept 1 @ 3.50 a pop. Selling in increments of 50. This is a great deal. With the price of gas and feed, expect to pay 5.00 and up as the demand coincides with the season.
