29th Texas Taxidermy Show and Convention - Pics Added
|
|
The 29th Annual TTAI Convention will run from THURSDAY JUNE 5TH TO SATURDAY JUNE 7TH. It will be held at the Radisson Hotel located at Alta Mesa and I-35 in Ft. Worth. Check in time for taxidermists is Thursday, starting at 8 a.m.
The public is allowed into the competition room on Saturday June 7th from 10:30 to 2pm to view all the mounts with ribbons awarded.
Several great Taxidermy seminars are being offered this year but of course I am most interested in watching World Champion Bird Taxidermist Cory Caruthers mount a pheasant. They will also have seminars on habitat, fish mounting, altering forms, interpreting reference, antler repair and much more.
I am entering 4 Bird pieces into the Professional Division this year and I encourage all the Texas Hunting Forum Members in and around North Texas to stop by and take the time to see all types of taxidermy from around the state.

Had a large time at the show today. Went with my wife and 2 girls. We try to keep an eye for free stuff that's different than the norm. If you exhibited, thanks for your hard work. There were some AMAZING mounts there. I don't know the first thing about taxidermy, but hard work and skill is easy to recognize. Can't wait until next year!

Looks like Bird Works ( Matt) cleaned house with his mounts! That drake wood duck was the best example of the species I have ever seen! The detail was incredible! Nice job Matt and way to go!
