Good Barbeque Sauce Recipe?

Anyone got one for a sweet and tangy sauce?

I usually mix several kind with honey or brown sugar to get the taste I'm looking for but want to make it from scratch.

If I want right out the bottle, I love Jack Miller's but it's hard to find in Texas.

Any good stock I could play with until I get it the way I like it would be good. Thanks guys!

Re: Good Barbeque Sauce Recipe?

For my jackrabbit BBQ, I take one bottle of storebought hickory, mesquite, onion, or honey BBQ and an equal size bottle of ketchup. Pour into pan, and heat gently. Add garlic, onion, Adobo seasoning, and salt and pepper if desired. (I do NOT add anything with hot peppers because of my allergies. I figure folks can put additional sauce on their sandwich).

Add water, about a cup or so. Heat gently, till thickened.

Adjust seasoning.

Mix the chopped or pulled meat into the sauce, and heat through.

Never had any complaints.....

Also you can substitute bourbon for the Vinegar, or just drink the boubon and go with the vinegar
