Those we left behind

Some of you are aware my daughter just came back from Europe. She went to Omaha Beach. This isn't Arlington Cemetary folks, its our brave men and women who sacrificed their lives, and stayed behind. I thought how better that my daughter arrives, the day beofre the 4th of July, so we/ I can view such pics. If you arn't glad you are an American folks, more so on this day, I don't know what else to tell you. It was a very special moment for my daughter to see this, I hope you think so also. Thank you vets, for what you did, do and God Speed to those who didn't come back  Peace

Roy,
Tell your daughter that we really enjoyed the picture, and being first hand pictures made them special. Glad she was able to make the journey and experience of a lifetime. My Dad was scheduled to hit the beaches on D-Day but was held back because of medical problems. He told me many stories of the days and he always regretted not being able to make the invasion with his Division. May they all RIP and we never forget those in harms way.
