Whats up for the 4th?

Just wrapped my briskets in foil for the last 6 hrs before taking them off the RATMO Smoker. Whats everones plans for the 4th?

Roy, I do it the other way around. They have been on the smoker since 10:30 this morning. Both were big briskets (20 and 22 lbs).

I am going to Jayton, to pick up some things and visit for awhile then heading back to the metromess on saturday afternoon. then just relaxing for the rest of the weekend.

What's up for the 4th?
I'm going to get up early. Go outside and look at a 3X5 piece of cloth. This cloth is colored red and white and blue. I'm going to stand there and look at it flutter in the morning breeze. I'm going to remember why it is there and how it stays there. I will come to attention. I shall render a Marine Corps perfected hand salute.
I will remember things of years gone by.
I will shed a tear.
I will be happy.
God Bless the United States of American and all that defend her.
In my old mind, it's not a bad way to start our nation's birthday.

Just got off work, only to return at ten am and working until four am on Sat morning, You all have a great 4th of July and be safe!

Playing on the river in Christoval with two bands. Cold beer, good times, great tunes. Last year the fireworks were off the hook.

We are having a small group over this evening to watch the fireworks going on around us, and maybe set off a few ourselves.
For the meal I am in the process of getting a buffalo brisket ready to start cooking.

I'm cooking three racks of ribs for a family reunion and mowed the (5) yards on our place in town. Hope all of you guys are having a great time. Lets race!!!
