One year in the life of a wetlands

Starting with this morning and going backwards in time to June of '07 when I was fighting to control an explosion of Water Primrose. We controlled it with 2 applications of Glyphosate but the root system remained over our 11-1/2 acres of water.

Following last season I opened the valves and drained nearly 11 million gallons of water over a two week period. After it dried, I treated the primrose roots with glyphosate again and then discd and planted a waterfowl blend.

What a great setup you have. I am envious, but I know it comes with a lot of hard work.
