No they aren't hard to work on. Most of the routine stuff is available at NAPA. I had to replace the voltage regulator on mine. New one was $30.00 from Swiss Army Vehicles in Fayetteville. AR. I ordered some other minor stuff from the guy in California. Both companies got my stuff to me asap. The manuals are good and the thing was designed to be worked on in the field by your average Swiss soldier (whatever that is). I'm not at all mechanical and I'm holding my own on this truck. Everything else goes to the dealer.
