this is crazy ok...i havent seen turkeys at my place in years. Today they where crossing the road, like any hunter i had to stop and watch. Next thing i know they are in the bed of my TRUCK. I grabed my phone and took some pictures there was 6 hens and 4 jakes, so 10 in all just walking in the road. I watched for them for about 10 minutes or more. But only managed to get a couple good pics .

They must be making stupid turkeys in east tx these days, i saw these maybe 20yds off of our road and when i stopped and started gaucking at them they started walking toward my truck and i figured cool! Well they not only walked to the truck but 3 hens jumped in the back of the bed of the truck and the gobblers came right to the window and while i snapped the pic he tried pecking my hand! They acted like tame turkeys but i know all the people on my road and nobody has any. Anybody ever see wild turkeys do this?

Seen it happen one time in Uvalde, there was about 30 turkeys that came into camp, my Dad has video of 10 i think sitting on the top rail of the bed of his truck, they weren't but 30' away. These were all wild turkeys, and this place was out in the middle of nowhere, so they couldnt have been used to human contact. They are crazy birds.

them there are government raised turkey. they keep tryin to release em into the wild but this is what happens. a friend told me about this lady that had them around her house. they kept roosting in her garage and poopin on her car. she had to wait for season to take care of em.

and to think last spring we had trouble getting them to come in to the call. This next spring maybe we should use your truck as a decoy!!!! GOOD STORY.

Hoytman,
Been seeing about 10-15 turkeys everytime I pass your neck of the woods on the way to my place. They don't seem to be very concerned about people or cars......had to slow down the other day to let them cross 69!

Now that is too cool. So they are government turkeys? Does anyone know how they are raised? Perhaps too much human contact. They may need to revamp thier process a little. Either way, that is really neat. Thank you for sharing!
