Okay had to go try this place and it was awesome..Ribs were fall off the bone, smoked sirloin was tender as can be,chicken was very moist and last but not least the pork chop was off the charts..I didnt get anything dipped so i could tell how the meat was..whatever rub/seasoning they use is great and doesnt overpower the meat..I will say i tried the sauce and was not impressed..it was overpowered with something I couldnt tell..BUT the meat was good enough it didnt need any..I will go back and try the smoked ribeye in the near future..I didnt know they had Cabrito till after we had ordered all the meats..Even better mon-fri for happyhour they have 1.75 ,24oz drefts then 3.50 after that..thats a great deal.. ..Im glad a place like this came around Dallas..I miss the college days in Central Texas road tripping to places you get the bar b que off the pit...

In the early 80s I was workin around the town of Robstown and the locals told me to go to Cotten's BBQ. They serve meat on butcher paper with the fat so you can trim it or eat it. It was awesome and I ate lunch there everyday for two weeks. I think it is still there but have no call to go that far south anymore. Speaking of free beer there is a Mex Rest in Red Oak called Plato Loco that serves free beer or margaritas and great Mex food, too. I eat there twice a week but don't tell the wife.

The only reason they give free beer away in S'ville is because the town folks make it very difficult to obtain all the permits to sale beer. So the owner decided he would give two beers away to each customer if they wanted it. It was easier than getting the necessary legal paperwork to sale it. Also Easton they are changing the sauce back to the original which is very good. JMO. The owners made a deal with a new company to provide the sauce but they have received complaints and they are changing it back.

Brings back memories, Cottens BBQ was the place to be. I grew up in Calallen and when I was real young I remember going there, they use to have live music, when they played the Cotten-Eyed Joe, Everyone in the whole place would get up and dance. Great Food.......
