My 13 Yr.Old grandson shoots 6 record fish on Lake Lewisville. Buffalo+Drum+Gar+Carp,4 new records in the Jr. Bowfishing/Lake Lewisville..2 records in the adult div.He is one happy young man !!!

u should clarify that lake lewisville had no records for bowfishing. i thought about weighing our fish cause there were no records on buffalo, carp, or drum for lake lewisville for bowfishing. i guess u beat us to it. we will have to have a friendly competition i guess....  we have shot a 13# buffalo. brother in law shot one that i would say was about 20# or more. as the fish hauled arse the arrow came out. i have seen buffalo that are 20-30#s, we have just not hit one YET.
how much did that gar weigh? i thought the record was 21#s.

guess you 2 hold most of the records for now.....congrats. we have shot a bigger buffalo, 13#s, and carp that was over 4#s. we thought about havin them weighed but havent, we will have to have them weighed and registered next time.

Your kind of right...There is a Gar record..It was shot of my boat last year by a first time bow shooter..."Tex McFaden".There is a Buffalo record, I shot it 4 weeks ago..And a blue cat, that I shot 2 weeks ago.....There was no Jr. Records untill my Grandson set these...Im sure that his will be broken, but his own records, will always be his !!! He got his Certificate (4 of them) in the mail Yesterday..Im sure that they will be broken, but he will always have the first...I have the Buffalo record at this point, he almost beat me..His was 5oz.less..I shot a Drum on Lake lewisville that was 24.15, that was a few years ago..I didnt even think about sending it in for the records...Oh well,I know where to go after the Big drum and I will be going back...

Yep, for a short time more...Untill Sept...I have only seen 2 catfish in Lake Lewiwsville, that I could shoot with a bow..1 of them for about 1.2 sec. the other was at 8am..feedind under some willow tree roots..he was not very big, but he was good on the grill..

I had no idea. I don't bowfish, but have seen pics of gar and carp and buffalo. It looks like it would be fun.

Its is a blast....Not like setting on the bank with a cane pole at all...The radio is blasting and we are shooten fish....It dont get much better!!!!
