My buddy is going w/ me on a White Tail hunt at Roys place. It will be his first time hunting ....ever. Where can i get info and locations to take the class? How long is it? He is in Houston.

the tpwd web page has listing of classes/locations. gander mountain puts them on if you have one of those in houston.

Your buddy can do the study portion of it online (check TPWD webpage for details). Then all he needs to do is attend a short orientation and take the test. Webpage says it's an all day class, but seems like it only took my buddy about 4 hours.
