Wondering if there are any electronic dog fences out there that keep a dog from crossing a certain spot, and that spot only? We are putting up a pipe fence with non climb mesh from one side of the drive way all the way around the property to the other side of the drive way and need something to keep the dog from going into the street through the opening. (I don't want a gate)
All the electronic fences I have seen have a radius where he can roam, but I don't care about the rest of the property, just that one spot...

Yes, all you have to do is run the wires to the spot either twisted together, or real close to each other. When you get to the gate you seperate the wires at the point you don't want them to cross. When the wires are twisted together or run to close to each other they cancel each other out. The dog will not receive a shock anywhere the wires are twisted together.

I've had one for three years. Works like a champ. You have to keep the dog trained to it though. Put the E-collar on him about once a month for a day or two and he'll avoid the area.

Sounds like if you ran the controller out to the spot you wanted and just buried the wires in the normal fashion in a loop from the gate out you would accomplish the same thing but with a really small loop.
Remember it is a proximity system not a containment system. If you put the dog outside the loop and he tries to go into the loop he gets hit just as if he was inside the loop and tried to get out.

Cool, I didn't know that!
Are there any that go above ground with like sensors that I could put on either side of the drive? Reason I ask is I don't know how I would bury wires under the concrete.
Thanks for the tips!

You don't have to bury the wire. That is mostly for its protection. If you have an expansion joint in the concrete that is one way to get it below the surface. Many times when drives are paved they place a PVC pipe under it to allow for sprinklers or other things to be run under it too. You might try looking for one.

They have a wireless one, but the controller can't get wet. It has a adjustable range.
