Too expensive for coyotes but I don't reload.

I bet that quarter bore, going that fast turns their lights off immediately.

But I'm extra cool because I shoot left handed on right handed rifles.

The pile of 4 was one outing for the Jacksboro calling competition, the single was my 257's first blood

That's what I'm hoping. What is surprising is the recoil, very mild considering the case it's based on

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I was too. I got one after hearing all the raves about it on here. I honestly think it is the perfect whitetail caliber. Mild recoil and hits like a hammer with 100-110 grain well constructed bullets.

That bobo is an idiot smile

My only complaint is the long barrel but everything is about trade offs.

I like my wife's creedmoor but it doesn't thump them like the hand of Zeus.

Yep, it's all your fault. LOL like my Grandaddy used to say, "Even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in awhile." smile

Seriously, it is a fine caliber. I picked up a Vaguard Series 1 at a gun show just see what all the fuss was about. Dang thing shoots like a house afire. Ugly as heck but see no reason to upgrade except cosmetics.

I have a gunsmith friend of mine. He said to me one time, he has had more problems getting "some" 257 bees to shoot than any other round he built. Mine shot great out of the factory, and the other 2 I have been associated with shot great, but did shoot one of the guns I am sure he spoke of, it would not shoot 90-100 grain bullets worth a crap but 110-120 it would bug hole them...I guess it liked what it liked.

Mine likes the 100gr TSX. Wife killed a buck with it a few years back (guess it's been almost 6 yrs ago now...sheesh) and I've killed quite a bit of hogs with it. I just like shooting heavier bullets down the pipeline/hay fields at deer.
