Translation: they made a committment, then dont have it, and dont pay up - its pretty simple - you paid in and bailed out so your money is toast - I get real tired of people who don't do what they say they will do and then everyone is suppose to forgive and forget - that is total BS

What do you have in writing? Nothing? Pay the guy back in payments - ( keep all the canceled checks - give the guy nothing else in writing, and no specific terms - send what you can when you can).
Would look very reasonable to a judge in case this guy tries to haul you into court - would make him look unreasonable.

Lessons in Lease Management

How is the lease worded? I think he is being unreasonable... He committed, multiple witnesses? No reason for defaulting on his commitment? No trying to work something out? Now way is he getting it back. He reneged not you.

IF you came up with a reliable person who could pay all cost up front I would allow him to get his money back through him. It is a buy out at that point. He finds a buyer for his debt basically...

Redchevy, not trying to scare you, but, we've had checks stolen by, we're sure, the post office employees. They then "wash" the checks and change the amount, and the recipients name. Very common. We don't use checks anymore. PERIOD.

is thar an up-date on lease management. & if don't come up with another leasie, who pays for the 2nd half payment, hard times. Still think get another member & give back money to person who not able ta hunt. i got outa leasing cause of money. i was making big money $7.00-$8.00 hr. it was a big pay hike from $2.25 hr. but lease was less than $1.00 a day, year round & hogs 24-7-365 . Times have changed. If middle income people haven hard time, think about the low income. Tis a feeding frenzy. maybe that guy was just looking for place ta hunt. Get away. i got told bye credit advisers, leasing was bad investment, yet stuck with it, tis what every one else was doing. in work field, always the little guy that pays the price, whin it comes ta cut backs. hope ya do the right think , tis tough managing a lease
